Welcome to Augustine's Restaurant, Canterbury
Augustine's restaurant is tucked away just outside the city’s walls, yet only five minutes walk from the town centre and close to the historic monument of St. Augustine’s abbey from which it derives its name.
The restaurant and bar occupies three rooms of an elegant Georgian house and has been recently refurbished to create an eclectic mix of period and modern, chic yet cosy.
The main restaurant, seating just twenty peopl
e, provides the perfect setting for intimate dining, a relaxing evening with friends or for entertaining business colleagues. For those with evening plans, we offer a pre-theatre menu from 6pm (reservations only).
Superb food is painstakingly prepared by our chefs, using the best local or organic ingredients and served to you by discreet but attentive staff. See our dinner menu. An extensive wine list offers ample choice to complement your meal.
At midday, lighter lunches are ideal after a busy morning shopping or sight seeing. Join our Lunch Club and if you lunch with us 5 times the next is with our compliments!
A second dining room on the first floor is available to use as a meeting room or for private dining for up to 18 people.
